Tyre retail group BA Bush & Son and its wholesale arm B.A.B. Distribution – which is a member of Grouptyre, the UK’s leading independent tyre wholesaler – has acquired the former Enterprise Tyres in Spalding. The move means that the family-owned business now operates from two prime sites in the town, while it has increased its network of retail depots throughout Lincolnshire, Humberside and East Yorkshire to 16.
The new Bush Tyres centre in Spalding, located a mile from the A16, will stock approximately 1,000 car tyres and over 500 truck tyres. The six staff have been retained and Luke Gale and Michelle Pite, who both worked for Enterprise Tyres for several years and know the local marketplace inside out, have taken on the day-to-day management responsibilities.
In addition to a full range of services for truck fleet operators, the centre stocks and fit batteries and offers outside agricultural, truck and commercial vehicle servicing. There is also a mobile car tyre fitting service, which will provide support to the Bush Tyres retail depots in Kings Lynn and Bourne, as well as Spalding.
“Enterprise Tyres specialised in truck accounts with outside fitting and our aim is to develop this side of our business by maximising the existing team’s knowledge and experience and providing additional benefits through our own resources, including the latest tools and fleet checking systems,” says director Thomas Bush.

Local business BA Bush & Son, with a helping hand from tyre manufacturer Bridgestone, has raised more than £670 for a local charity at an event held to mark the opening of their latest tyre depot on Fulney Lane North, Spalding.
The money was raised at a Formula One (F1) event at Springfields Outlet Shopping & Festival Gardens, where local shoppers where invited to have their picture taken next to Bridgestone’s stunning replica Ferrari F1 car in exchange for a small donation to the charity.
The event was a huge success and the team from BA Bush, Bridgestone and Springfields recently got together to present the money to representatives from the charity.
Russ De Barr, Spalding branch manager at BA Bush and Son, commented:
“The opening event for our new Spalding depot was a great success. Experiencing the glamour of F1 for the afternoon was a real treat for shoppers and helped to raise a fantastic amount for charity.

Another Orb Web Spider was found in a tyre at Bush Tyres Spalding. Russ DeBarr, Bush Tyres’s resident Arachnologist, and all round entomology expert commented, “as everyone knows, the Orb Web Spider (Nephilengys cruentata) is indigenous to South America, so to find it in one of our depots is quite astonishing!” The Spider has been safely contained within Spalding depot and has been kept for study. Bush Tyres Spalding team adhered to the Bush Tyres “Equality at Work” philosophy by not killing this eight legged marvel – Russ DeBarr commented, “we at Bush Tyres treat all our customers with the dignity and respect they deserve, whether they be human or arachnid.”

Thrill of F1 to mark new store in Spalding
BA Bush & Son, with a helping hand from retail partner and sole tyre supplier to this season’s F1 championship, Bridgestone, is celebrating the opening of its latest depot with a weekend of events to entertain the whole family.
BA Bush & Son will be showcasing Bridgestone’s stunning replica Ferrari F1 car this weekend (3rd and 4th October) at the Springfield Shopping Centre. Visitors will be able to have their picture taken next to the F1 car in exchange for a small donation to local charities.
The weekend of events is being held to mark the grand opening of BA Bush & Sons fifteenth store in Spalding. The new depot is located opposite the Springfield Shopping Centre and has an ultra modern reception area and features all the latest state-of-the-art tyre technology for maintenance and repair.

Sleaford get their second of two Cooper S Mini's, aligning both the front and rear wheels.
Both cars have been fully restored, and are soon to be shipped to the USA where they are to be used in a working motor museum.
The mini pictured is off to New York and the other one to California.

Bush Tyres has expanded into Bourne this month with a new depot on Cherry Holt Road. The business will cater for the growing demand for high service standards in tyre retailing in the Bourne area. The new premises will focus on availability and levels of service similar to that of a luxury car dealership.
A massive investment has been put into the facility – allowing for an extensive range of tyre sizes and brands to be stocked. The Cherry Holt Road site has internet access and a large relaxed reception area with refreshments available.

Bush Tyres are proud to announce that they will be opening a new ‘Tyre Centre’ in Spalding! The site is set to open in summer 2009, and will be situated near the Springfields Outlet Shopping Centre, on the Holbeach roundabout (A151)- allowing for fantastic ease of access!
Bush Tyres expansion has historically been by evolution, with Spalding being a complementary step for Bush’s service area, to provide the highest level of service in the Spalding area. Bush Tyres, in partnership with Horncastle based company “Sprint Signs” have invested heavily in new, modern signage for Bush’s retail centres. The signs advertise Bush Tyres new website, and some of the astonishing specials that are available on-line. Hull’s BAB manager Mike Darbyshire commented on the new sign at Hull, “The banner looks fantastic...it is highly visible from the road, and it gives the depot a fresh modern aesthetic look”. Mike, further elaborated, “the signs have created a lot of web traffic...there are some fantastic specials, only available on the new site!”
Bush Tyres have been lucky enough to acquire a Formula One Ferrari racing car!
The car sits proudly in Scunthorpe depot reception and was obtained through Bush Tyres close connection with Bridgestone UK. The red Ferrari fits in perfectly with the aesthetics of the depot and looks incredible lit up at night!
Manager Lenny Storer is ecstatic about the F1 Car, stating, “The car has attracted many people in the depot- all are welcome and can be accommodated easily in our ample parking...whether you are coming in for some tyres, or just want a free pressure check, everyone is welcome to come view the car!”
Bush Tyres Scunthorpe occupies a prominent, easily accessible site on one of the busiest roads in the area. Scunthorpe depot has been a success from the day it opened and has gone from strength to strength, whilst retaining Bush Tyres ethos of ‘Quality at all costs’.

Bush Tyres supply some rare 1857013 Goodyear GT2 Tyres for an immaculate Triumph TR8! The Tyres were shipped to the USA last week, and the happy customer has kindly supplied an image of the tyres fitted to the car (see image to the left).
Bush Tyres successfully supply Innocentis Turbo de Tomaso ‘metric’ tyres to a customer in Barcelona. These tyres are very rare in Spain, and the customer was delighted with the service that Bush Tyres were able to provide.
The happy Spanish customer stated, “As you can imagine I am really very happy with My/yours new shoes...”
Bush Tyres enjoyed a cracking day at Sleaford Golf Club last Friday! Sleaford Golf Club held an open Stapleford for all their sponsors, and provided a buffet lunch and some fantastic prizes for the winning team. The Bush Tyres team comprised of: Agricultural Representative Tony Chamberlain, Sleaford Manager Mick Walton, Ben Bush and Tom Bush. The team played well together, scoring impressively- this was, in part, due to Mick Walton who birdied the last two holes!

Bush Tyres have successfully supplied a client in the Isle of Wight- Bush were able to successfully convert a new type, 31 Nissan X Trail to 16” All Terrain wheels and tyres from 17” Road tyres. Bush Tyres liaised closely with the local Nissan garage to make the necessary conversion...Bush Tyres are always prepared to go the extra mile.

Bush Tyres at Horncastle were pleased to be a part of Banovallum School charity event- Friday the 18th July. The charity helped raise money for SANDS- Stillbirth and Neo-Natal Death Charity.
The Staff at Bush Tyres visited the school and taught the Year 8 children how to fit some tyres!! Representing Bush Tyres on this event was Horncastle Branch Manager Dean Evensen and one of the companies most experienced fitting technicians, Simon Robertshaw. Under-Inflated Truck Tyres are costing Hauliers Thousands of pounds in extra fuel.

Bush Tyres enjoyed great success at this years “Cereals” show. Bush tyres stand showcased the extensive range of agricultural tyres that are stocked and supplied at the company- ranging from row crop tyres to super volume tyres.
On the Bush stand was Agricultural sales managers Tony Chamberlain and Eric Corrigan. The pair were accompanied by operatives from CGS tyres and by Tom Bush.

Bush Tyres Scunthorpe depot has been awarded the status of "Accredited Centre" as part of Bridgestone's First Stop retail quality program. The accreditation is awarded to recognise exceptional performance in the areas of customer service, technical capability and depot appearance.
The First Stop quality programme has been running since 2004 and has been very successful in raising the standards of service within the industry.

BA Bush is delighted to announce that the company has been awarded Run-Flat Certification by Bridgestone after completing an extensive training programme in all it depots!!!!
BA Bush full certification provides additional reassurance to you, our customer. We have specialist trained mechanics that are now fully qualified to advise you on the use of run flats for your vehicle. Staff are also fully trained in how to fit run flats, assess damaged tyres and to repair and remount tyres on site.
