Our Bourne Centre recently fitted two BMW M4’s with twopairs of 275/35R19 100Y Michelin Pilot Super Sport* BMW M series specific original equipement tyres.

Michelin Pilot Super Sport

A tyre specially engineered for super sport cars and ultra-highperformance tuning developed in association with Porsche, BMW M and Ferrari.

The Pilot Super Sport tyre offers safety even in the most demanding conditions offering up to3m shorter braking distances on wet roads compared to their Pilot Sport PS2tyre

Specially developed tread bracing ensures greater stabilityat high speed and because of its variable tension it grips the centre of thetread more tightly than the shoulders. Centrifugal force is thus better controlled and forces are distributed moreevenly.

Michelin also incorporate a dual compound in the tyre. Theresult of this is extreme endurance even under the tightest cornering along withexceptional wet grip to mould themselves to the slightest irregularities in theroad surface to break the film of water.

Another innovation built into this tyre is a variablecontact patch 2.0 system that changes the shape of the contact patch but theamount of rubber in contact with the road surface stays the same.

So, whether you’re accelerating flat out in a straight lineor cornering at high speed, you will get optimum grip.
