Correctly Choosing New Lamborghini Huracan Tyres

Article written by Bush Tyres Lamborghini Huracan

Potential Pitfalls

Homologation has provided substantial advantages to the tyre and automotive industries, enabling manufacturers such as Pirelli, Michelin and Bridgestone to develop tyres tailored to enhance the performance of specific vehicle models. However, this has also led to stricter warranty terms from car manufacturers.

Lamborghini Huracan

To illustrate the point, Lamborghini mandates that only specific Pirelli or Bridgestone tyres are fitted to their Huracan models. It’s also crucial to note that specific P Zero variants are authorised as fitments for different Huracan models, with Bridgestone’s Dueler All-Terrain AT002 tyre fitted exclusively to the Huracan Sterato, and their Potenza Tyres fitted exclusively to the Huracan STO.

Using any tyre other than the specified Pirelli or Bridgestone tyre can result in Lamborghini voiding the vehicle’s warranty.

For example, the Pirelli fitment table for Lamborghini Huracan models indicates that a Huracan Coupe 4WD can only be fitted with the old P Zero, P Zero Corsa, or P Zero Trofeo R tyres. Similarly, a Huracan Coupe 2WD is restricted to using the new Pirelli P Zero tyre or for winter Pirelli P Sottozero winter tyres.

Lamborghini Huracan Sterato & STO

As detailed above the new Bridgestone AT002 which just happens to be the world’s first ever super car all terrain tyre to feature run flat technology is exclusively fitted to the Huracan Sterato with the Potenza fitted to the Huracan STO.

Pzero Fitment

The upshot of all this is should you own a Lamborghini Huracan, ensuring your tyres comply with Lamborghini’s warranty requirements is essential.
