The Nissan GTR R35 Prestige

First manufactured way back in 2007, the R35 Nissan GTR was left relatively unchanged through various updates and face lifts in 2009, 2010, and 2016. This ‘Prestige’  model was launched in 2017, the car had what was described at the time as “the biggest and most transformative face lift” to date. The R35 GTR was eventually withdrawn from sale in May 2022, Nissan initially closed their order books before the car was quickly reintroduced in October 2022, a new 2023 model was made available.

The car was face lifted again in 2023 for the 2024 model year and introduced to the public at the 2023 Tokyo Auto Salon. As of June 2024 the order books were closed for the final time after over 17 years in production. The final cars all being offered in; T-spec, Takumi and Skyline limited editions. Over 40,000 cars were produced through the lifetime of the car and were sold in Japan, Europe and North America and Australia.

The car is powered by a 3.8L twin-turbocharged V6 engine with over 562 hp and 633 Nm of torque. The complex all wheel drive system and 6 speed DCT gearbox gives these cars incredible performance, 0-62mph in under 2.7 seconds and a top speed of over 204 mph. The Nissan GTR R35 has set many records over the years and also recorded an incredible 7:18.6 min lap time at the Nurburgring. Many owners enhance their cars with the numerous bolt on tuning options available to them and it is not uncommon for these cars to be seen with well over 1000hp!

Dunlop Sport Maxx GT 600 NR1 ‘Nismo’

The Dunlop GT600 is a summer tyre designed for enhanced grip on wet and dry roads. Combining precision handling at high speeds and a high aquaplaning resistance with enhanced comfort levels, this tyre offers drivers a luxury, premium high performance experience without compromise.

Seen here in 255/40R20 Front and 285/35ZR20 rear sizes, the Nissan GTR R35 tyres are also NR1 marked for fitment on ‘Nismo Racing’ cars. This tyre has been manufactured in partnership with Dunlop, Nissan and Nismo racing to enhance the performance of the R35.

This delivers the best driving experience possible. The tyre is equipped with Dunlop’s DSST, Dunlop Self Supporting Technology, what most would describe as run flat technology. This enables a punctured tyre to still be used up to speeds of 80kmh (50mph). The tyre also features MFS, ‘Maximum Flange shield’ technology giving the tyre thicker sidewalls which protects the tyre and rim making it less vulnerable to punctures.
