Tyre Safety Month 2021 – What's Stopping You?
Article written by Bush Tyres
Today marks the beginning of Tyre Safety Month 2021 and this year TyreSafe are asking us all… What’s Stopping You?
Regular tyre safety checks can reduce the risks of an incident when driving but according to TyreSafe, an estimated one-in-five drivers have never checked the tread on their tyres, a startling number which rises to one-in-three among young drivers. Tyres should be regularly checked, including tyre tread depth, tyre pressure and tyre condition such as signs of wear, cuts or bulges.
Checking and maintaining your tyres can also save you money as underinflated tyres will wear quicker and cause the vehicle to use more fuel.
TyreSafe has created a video for this years Tyre Safety campaign, check it out below:
Since November 2014 TPMS or Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems have been helping motorists stay safe on the roads
In all of our Bush Tyres depots we offer free winter car health checks including tyre specific checks. Following the inspection we will let you know what we feel is your best course of action, whether you need a tyre replacing immediately or whether you have a few thousand miles left. At the end of the day all we will do is advise, it’s up to you then to decide what to do.
Even Supercars get punctures! This Mclaren 650S recently visited Endyke Tyres in Hull for a repair after a nail tried to ruin the owner’s day.
