The first set of numbers on the tyre reading is the width of the tyre in mm. So here the tyre width would be 205mm.
After the forward slash is the sidewall height (Aspect ratio)which is shown as a percentage of the overall width of the tyre. In this example the tyre has a sidewall height (aspect ratio) In this eaxample it is 55, meaning the tyre’s sidewall height is 55% of its overall Width.
The next set of numbers after the tyre construction letter, represents the inner diameter of the tyre rim in inches. In the example, the diameter of the tyre rim is 16 inches.
As illustrated, the speed index of the tyre is the last letter in the tyre size sequence. Note: the 91 is the load index table reference number which denotes how much load the tyre can carry.
