Mitas signs up AGCO for four years

The manufacturer of agricultural machinery AGCO have signed a four-year agreement with Mitas to supply Continental farm tyres to Fendt, Massey Ferguson, Valtra, Challenger and Laverda branded tractors and combines, for their plants in Germany, Finland, France and Italy – starting in 2013. Mitas has been supplying Fendt tractors with tyres since 2004, when they acquired the Continental farm tyre manufacturing division.

This news follows the construction of the new Otrokovice production facility in Czech Republic, which Mitas plans to spend CZK 1 billion (which is the equivalent to 38.5 million Euros) building and improving manufacturing equipment.

This Peugeot 205 automatic visited our Boston Branch recently for Wheel Balancing. These centre-less “Pepperpot” style wheels can only be balanced on a balancing machine using a plate adapter. The adapter is needed as the wheels are unusual as they have no hole in the centre.

Landrover chose CrossContact 2024 tyres for new Defender

Land Rover chose the Continental CrossContact RX tyres to be fitted to the Defender at their production facility. Allround Tyres in Rotherham when required by the owner, fitted the same CrossContact tyres which the Defender was originally designed to run on. Therefore continuing the OE status of the tyres.
