Goole Coffee Morning

Article written by Bush Tyres

Saturday the 30th of May was no ordinary morning for our Goole depot. Twenty classic tractors ploughed through Goole town centre and dropped in at our Goole branch for a coffee, biscuit and plenty of tractor talk!

The rally was in aid of the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire air ambulance appeal and the aim was to travel through three counties of Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire in three days.

It was great to see so much support for the rally and we loved having the historic tractors on view for all to see.

We had a range of classic units on site, the 1961 Fordson Super Major attracted a great deal of interest! This unit was renowned for Bailing in its time. Many of these Fordson tractors achieved a PTO speed of 540rpm at 1500 engine rpm, which could make baling tiresome.

The usual suspects were on show, many John Deere’s, Internationals and Ploughmasters! Please see the photos of all the classic tractors that participated in the rally below.

We would like to thank everybody who stopped off for a coffee and a chat and we hope to see you all again in the future!

Wheel Balancing on a Perfect Peugeot 205

This Peugeot 205 automatic visited our Boston Branch recently for Wheel Balancing. These centre-less “Pepperpot” style wheels can only be balanced on a balancing machine using a plate adapter. The adapter is needed as the wheels are unusual as they have no hole in the centre.
