The event, which started in 2017, consists of invitesgoing out to all golf clubs, in a 50 to 60 mile radius of Sleaford, to take part in varoius golfing competitions held over 7 days starting on the Thursday prior to the August Bank Holiday weekend.
The festival started with an over 55’s amature (AM AM) competition while Friday saw the Junior Open competition. On Saturday, any combination of amature (AM AM) golfers competed, & on Sunday the Gents Fourball was held.
Bank Holiday Monday was the day for a "Texas Scramble" &, not to forgetting the ladies, Tuesday was for the Ladies AM AM (amature) competition.
The last day (Wednesday) finished off the whole event with a Captains invite.
2019 Sleaford Golf Club Captain, Mick Walton (also a long standing employee of Bush Tyres) said,
"we have, with the help of Bush Tyres, had a fantastic week of Golf which everyone who played thoroughly enjoyed".
