How & why our centres are allowed to remain open.
With the current guidelines from the PM last night – as an ‘exempt’ retail body (garages), we are currently trading at all locations to the revised working hours communicated yesterday. We are stringently working to the guidelines set by the government regarding social distancing to ensure that our customers and staff are safe, and following government guidelines.

With the inevitable impact of the PM’s announcement, there will be likely changes to the retail patterns of our locations "in store/ in branch" – we will communicate these over the coming week, and into next week. As a business we are trying to balance the core needs of our customers whilst being socially responsible. We are aware of the importance of transport to people and our account customers – and that we fit into this key channel of infrastructure.

Whilst it’s essential that we all follow the advice to "stay at home" this isn’t possible for every member of society and in order to keep key workers safe on the road it is vital that we continue to provide our services. We aim to be able to carry out repairs, mot testing and maintenance for those who use their vehicles for essential travel during these very challenging times. If you have a booking this week then we will be contacting you directly with the guidelines you must follow for your appointment. This decision and the guidelines will be monitored on a continual basis and changes made as and when necessary.

In regards our outside work – commercial, agricultural and outside car account; we aim to keep our previous levels of service where possible as we are fully conscious that the hauliers, farmers and emergency service require our services to ensure they can continue to function. The government has stated those involved in transport as a key worker: "this includes those who will keep the air, water, road and rail passenger and freight transport modes operating during the COVID-19 response, including those working on transport systems through which supply chain pass" and in regards to Food and necessary goods; "this includes those involved in food production, processing, distribution, sale and delivery".

We at Bush tyres wish everyone is safe and happy during this difficult time.

As the situation regarding the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak constantly evolves, Bush Tyres (and group) are taking the spread of Coronavirus in the UK very seriously.

Our overriding priority is the health and well-being of our staff and customers. Our key considerations are to carefully monitor the situation daily before making any decisions.
