OffersBush Tyres Spalding’s Stefan Busby Wins Pirelli Performance Centre Technician of the Year 2023!

We are very proud to announce that Stefan Busby from our Spalding branch has been chosen as the Pirelli Performance Centre (PPC) Technician of the Year 2023!
After whittling it down from around fifty entrants to just three finalists, the final was held at the Burton Pirelli Performance Centre on Wednesday 13th December. The three finalists were:
- Stefan Busby from Bush Tyres Spalding
- Sam Coulson from Protyre Chippenham
- Billy Metson form Jet Wheel & Tyre Benfleet
The final involved a range of activities to test the finalists, including:
- Checking over a car to look for tyre fitting issues
- Tyre diagnosis – checking over tyres returned to us for inspection to give feedback (the samples used were common, everyday issues that would be seen in the depots)
- Identifying tyres and their uses – e.g. seasonality, technologies etc.
- Identifying different areas of the tyre – e.g. tread, sipes, bead etc.
The competition was extremely close with all candidates doing exceptionally well, but we are very excited to say that the eventual winner was Stefan Busby from our very own Bush Tyres Spalding.
