Kia Picanto GT-LINE S ISG

The Kia Picanto has come a long way from its original launch in 2003 where the car was launched as a simple and affordable 5 door city car. This latest Third Generation 2022 GT Line model is now holding its own against the more popular and well-equipped German and French cars. This little rocket packs a punch too from its high revving 1.0L Turbo charged 3-cylinder engine. These are great fun little cars to drive, being small and light they are reminiscent of the hot hatches of the 1990s with its turbo charged engine and light weight design.

The Kia is now a fully established alternative to the more well-known European brands. In fact, the Picanto has won multiple awards, the iF product design award in “transportation design” and the Red dot award for Car Design in 2018. The Picanto was also chosen by “What Car” as the “Best City Car” in the 2018 car of the year awards.

Ronal Wheels and Michelin Tyres

From factory this Picanto is finished in GT-Line trim. This includes sportier looking trims and sporty looking alloy wheels as standard. Despite this, the current owner wanted to go further and enhance the look of the car. Individual specification Ronal R59MCR wheels were chosen, sourced, and supplied by the team in Spalding. Finished in two tone Jet Black with bright red rims to match the body colour. These wheels really help this car stand out from standard models.

For tyres the customer wanted a good wet/winter grip tyre that was suitable to be left on the car all year round. Without the hassle of storage or additional cost of changing from summer to winter tyres each season, the Michelin Cross Climate 2 was selected. Found here in 185/60R15 88V specification.

The new Michelin Cross Climate 2 is an all-season tyre that also carries the 3 peak mountain snowflake accreditations. This means it can also be used legally on the roads of Europe in the winter months. It is a top performing tyre in both summer and winter conditions. Built with a new compound high in Silica, this gives a low rolling resistance and consistent performance. The tyre has distinctive V shaped blocks for water dispersal and features self- blocking sipes to also help traction in the snow.

Bush Tyres can supply and fit custom alloy wheels from Ronal and all other major wheel manufacturers. If you would like to change the look of your car, or if you need more advice on wheels or tyres?
